CREATING SUSTAINABILITY TOGETHER

At the Egypt Coatings Show, we are committed to fostering sustainability throughout our event, and we encourage all exhibitors and attendees to join us in our mission to reduce environmental impact.

Below are some key initiatives and guidelines to help you participate in creating a more sustainable event:

FOR ALL ATTENDEES:

Accommodation – Take advantage of nearby accommodation options. Our partnership with HotelMap helps attendees easily find places to stay within the venue area.
Transport - Enhancing sustainability by coordinating travel arrangements with colleagues, such as carpooling between the hotel and the airport. This practice not only reduces carbon emissions but also minimises the overall environmental carbon footprint.

FOR EXHIBITORS:

Choose modular stands over MDF structures to minimise waste and promote reusability.
Opt for sustainable and reusable materials for corporate gifts and giveaways instead of plastic bags.
Repurpose custom stand elements and consider renting furniture to reduce resource consumption.

Printed Collateral:

Embrace digital solutions to minimise paper waste and use recycled paper when printing is necessary.
Reuse any surplus printed materials from the event.

ACTIONS TAKEN BY US, THE ORGANIZERS:

Digital Solutions

We’ve replaced printed event guides with QR codes, allowing attendees to easily access all necessary information digitally.
To minimise paper waste, we provide digital versions of our sales and sponsorship brochures for convenient access.
During the event, we use digital screens for talks at the Business Presentations Hub, eliminating the need for printed agendas and further reducing paper usage.

Any remaining food is distributed to workers.

Usage of thermal badges to avoid plastic pouches

Thermal badges are utilised as an alternative to plastic pouches. These badges come with built-in hooks, eliminating the necessity for plastic pouches. Moreover, users can easily reuse these badges for the duration of the three-day event.

Reusable shell schemes

We utilise reusable shell schemes to minimise waste from exhibition setups, promoting environmental sustainability. This initiative aids in decreasing carbon emissions and conserving resources by reusing shell scheme materials for multiple events events.

Reusable signage structures

We track how often and to what extent reusable signage structures are utilised at various events organised by different groups. This enables us to quantify the environmental advantages, such as decreased material usage, waste production and carbon emissions.
